Email access issue

hi I have had an @virginmedia.com email address since the switch from blue yonder. My password been deleted or changed somehow and it won’t access anymore. Here’s where it gets complicated my wife whose account it was died a few years back so had to take out a new account about 4 years ago. That said it’s continued to work till now and no notice given that it wouldn’t. I can’t sign in with my virgin media o2. Am I screwed? Thanks in advance of any help.

    Ive got the same problem with my virgin media mail on all my apple devices. I’ve generated another imap password by following instructions in another post and it’s still saying it’s the wrong imap password. I can access mail by logging into virgin media via a browser but not from my apple mail. Can someone help as this is causing me a load of problems

    Sorry to hear of the email access issues experienced, we appreciate you taking the time to raise this with us via the forums.

     

    You mention you're also not able to sign into Virgin Media O2, is this after setting up a VMO2 ID and verifying this? If it is the password for the VMO2 ID we can't change this via this platform and you would need to call the team to get this changed.

      Thanks for coming back to me. I have resolved the VM/O2 id. This one is my virgin media email has logged me out and can’t send and receive anymore as I can’t log in. I mentioned as the email log in tries to take you through VMO2 log in but it’s separate to that if that make sense

        Is the old email the one you used to create the new contract 4 years ago?  If not, that old email may have been orphaned or deleted.?

  • You might be right strange it just happened you would have thought there would have been an email saying we are shutting this email down. It’s going to be a right pain sorting out all the email log ins to a new email🙄 I will hold on to some hope before going there. Thanks for the reply
