Deleting ntlworld email account

Hi.  Like several other people, I was a Virgin Media customer but closed the account when we moved house in 2018.  I understood that our ntlworld email account would close after 90 days.  To my surprise, it's still accepting messages - I discovered this because my antivirus software alerted me to suspicious emails into that account which claimed to be from Virgin Media's billing system.  I tried online chat but no help - so could someone from Virgin Media please be in touch to arrange for this email account to be deleted permanently.   Many thanks.

    I am so sorry that you have faced this issue and thank you for posting. I can certainly take a look into getting this email address removed for you via a private message, I am so sorry that this has been left open we do advise of 90 days but this can sometimes take longer to be removed from the system. 

    I will pop you a PM across now, please keep an eye out for the envelope at the top of your screen alerting you to a new message.
