Closing NTLWORLD account

Hi

I have access to my mother's old NTLWorld email account and would like to close it. My mother died 18 months ago, but the email account is still active and is still receiving incoming emails. I'd therefore like to be able to deactivate the account, but can't see how I can do this without having a VM account. 

Can anyone advise how to proceed?

You can see your private messages at the top of the page, in the envelope icon or if you're using a smaller device, you can see your private messages by clicking on the Virgin Media logo at the top right and select 'Messages' from the drop down.
