Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, it has been a while, sorry to hear you are having an issues with your ntlworld Email, is this associated with an active account or is it from an old closed account?

It's from an active account but I don't use it. It seems to be now sending spam emails to my contacts. I would like to permanently delete it.

sallyc1 If it is the primary username for your current VM broadband account then it is unlikely that VM will be able to close it down.
However, if it is a secondary account then you should be able to delete it yourself.
Log into your primary my Virgin Media account and click on Account Settings > Account details and scroll down to Manage other My VM accounts. Click on delete to the right of the secondary account concerned.

Hello, I have an old ntlworld account that is from an old closed account. I am having issues because someone has hacked my account and I am unable to change passwords or close the account. Any help would be much appreciated as I'm having a bit of a nightmare at the minute

Sorry to hear you're facing issues with the email, as it is linked to a disconnected account we may have close the email as they would need to be on an active one.

I've got this same problem, one of my ntlworld email addresses has been compromised and I can't delete it. I've contacted tech support but they can't delete it either which I can't believe! I'm now stuck with a old email address that has a criminal running riot over my associated accounts. Could you please delete the email address.

Sorry to hear you're having issues deleting an email that has been hacked.
The IT team are able to look into this to see if this is something they can do for you. What was the reason they said this couldn't be done for you and was there anything done instead of to support further?

They said I could only divert the emails to another account of mine (gmail) I actually wanted the account deleted so that it can not be used at all but they told me that's not possible unless I leave virginmedia!
