CCTV emails blocked

Last week my cctv system stopped sending emails.

On investigation turns out that the cctv is handshaking with the email server but when the email itself is sent it appears to be blocked.

The 123-reg email support team investigated this and suggested that - "Looking at the email logs I could find a failed authentication log from a Virgin Media IP that is blacklisted. "

"You could check with your ISP to remove that IP from the blacklist and test your device again after that."

I have the IP address they reckon Virgin is blocking and need to understand the issue and how to resolve it!

    Thanks for your post and welcome back to the community.

    Sincere apologies for any issues faced with retrieving emails, can we just clarify is this a VM email domain?

    Also are any other emails failing to send?

    123 reg had issues a few days ago -  kept telling people their browser looked unusual ! now resolved, but wonder if that could be anything to do with it?   Been unable to access my ntlworld.com mail since on my usual network, but can access it via mobile with wifi off .

      Hi emails from other software are working fine, just seems to be the ones generated by the cctv - been working for years!

        Welcome back to the community forums 

        Sorry to hear that your emails from your CCTV is not being sent. We were aware of a known intermittent issue on accessing, sending and receiving emails that has since been resolved this morning at 9am. 
        Please try resetting up your CCTV emails and let us know if you're still having issues at all.
