Can't access my ntlworld.com e-mail
Hi, I went into my laptop to access my e-mails to be informed that i needed to sign in to my account. after trying to do so by entering the e-mail address and password i get a message saying 'something went wrong with your account. please try again' I tried logging into my VM account on the webpage to be told that the e-mail address doesn't exist. I have been a VM customer for many years.
If you are using an email app or client to access your emails you are likely to need an app password, especially if you changed your password when signing into the VMO2 ID.
To create an email app password or update an existing one you need to follow these steps:
Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
Select Account Settings
Select Identity & Security Settings
Select Manage your products
Select Manage email app password
Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'
Make a note of the generated password. This is what you use in the mail apps along with the vm email address as the username.
