Can't access emails

Hi there,

I've switched onto a new phone today ,(S25)

And everything swapped over fine except my email. 

It's an old blueyonder address but I'm still a current VM customer. 

The email app on my old phone was working for a bit but it's now stopped too. 

I can still access emails through the VM Web page.

Any ideas folks??

    Are you using an app password (generated from within 'My Virgin Media') when you are setting up the email client on your new phone?

      Here is the link to  VM's instructions on how to set up a mail app password for your Blueyonder email account

      Go to the section "How to set an app password to use an email app" and follow those instructions

      Be aware that as part of that you will need to supply a non VM email address which VM will use to send you the verification code to enable you to make changes to your account. That non VM email address will also become the sign in / username you will need in future to use to sign into your account on the VM website instead of your Blueyonder address.

      Also, if you look at the "How to connect your Virgin Media email address to another email app " section of that document you will see VM specify that in the settings for your email  app you need to use: 

      Password: your Virgin Media email app password

      That's what goslow is referring to. 😉
