Can't access emails, password not verified

Can anybody help please. I haven't been able to access my emails since Monday. I have a blueyonder account and am getting the new Virgin Media/O2 sign in page. When I put my password in I get an error message which says 'Your password wasn't verified. Please try again' and I can't go any further. Is anybody else having this problem and if so, have you found a solution?

Any help appreciated.

  • I wish I could help but i'm having exactly the same problem as yourself and am likewise desperately scouring these forums for a solution. However as a result of this farce I shall (with my daughter's help) certainly be transferring my email provider to someone else and it'll the end of the road for VM and their £95 per month fee.

      I've had a look at the help section and can't see anything relevant to my problem.

      From monday, when I've tried to sign in to my virgin media and my virgin media emails using my usual email and password on the new sign in page, I get a message saying 'your password wasn't verified, please try again'. The email address and password are correct so can't understand why this is happening.

      Can you help?

    I'm having exactly the same problem both on webmail and on my phone.  Keeps asking me for my Virgin email password only to be told it's not valid - well I've been using it for the past 20 odd years!!  I'm missing emails from important sources with important documents - where are they?  In cyberspace somewhere I guess.

    I've just had this problem and may have found a solution. I entered a different (non virgin) email in the initial sign in box which allowed me to create a new virgin media 02 ID account. I was sent an email to confirm the account was sucessfully created.

     I then signed into that new virgin media 02 ID account and was prompted to link my virgin media account which i was able to do using the account number, and area reference number from one of my virgin bills, i was then prompted to sign in to my virgin account (which worked) and the accounts were linked. I then got another email saying i'd linked my virgin account to the virgin o2 ID

    I can now get to my virgin media home page by signing in to the virgin media 02 ID account (with my non-VM email address)

    a bit of a mess but at least i can access the website again

      Have you ever gotten the issue others have been getting that when trying to link there Virgin Media Account to the new ID set up it is not working and saying the email is incorrect
