Cannot send email from desktop

I was sending emails from my desktop (Win xp, Outlook Express) ok until 23/6 but yesterday and today, I have been unable to. I get "the message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address" with some details.

What is weird is that I can still receive ok. Also, on my phone, through the same hub, I can send and receive ok!

The login settings are the same on both devices and obviously I have not changed any.

Help please!

  • Hi sdad,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

We're sorry to hear you're having an issue with sending mails from your desktop. As you're able to send and receive from the same email address on another device, this rules out this being an account issue. If it was, you'd get the same issue no matter which device you're using.

It's likely a setting within Outlook Express that you'd need to check/update/change.

It's worth removing the email account completely and then readding it. This should help refresh the settings and get things working again for you.

Keep us posted on how you get on.

    Thanks,
