Cannot pick up my e-mail on my Iphone, I have tried for days

I have tried and tried to get my mail on my iphone without any joy it keeps on saying that IMAP address impap.viginmedia.com is not recognised even when I put in my new unmemorable password that Virgin insists I use.  I have the latest operating system for my phone but it just does not want to recognise the e-mail address (the one I have had for 20 odd years).  Please help.  I have checked the ports and everything.

Is the typo just here or also in iPhone's Mail settings; impap.viginmedia.com should be imap.virginmedia.com?

      Hi sapper1

      Welcome to the community forums.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with accessing your emails on your iPhone.

Are you able to elaborate on what's happening on your side and what you see, such as any error messages? Can you access your emails through another device and this is just affecting the mail app on the iPhone or are you having issues access your emails through our webmail service as well?
