Has this been sorted out yet? Two different people with gmail addresses have told me that all my recent emails to them from blueyonder go into their spam folders.

Just to say that this is still an issue and has been for maybe three weeks now. VM advise we nag Gmail about it - so I'm not expecting help from them.

Sabrina_B told me today that the issue was resolved and I'm the only one still experiencing it! It's obviously not resolved (as other recent posts show).

So that we can assist you we would need to bring you in for a private message, please look out for the envelope on the top right of your web browser or if you are using a mobile device, it will be located under your profile icon.Thanks.

Despite what Sabrina_B has said this issue is not fixed. Sent email to friend with gmail yesterday and it went to their SPAM box. This is a repeat of the issue that occured earlier this year please VM get it sorted.

I don't have a Blueyonder email account but if I did I would report this Blueyonder email going to spam problem to Google as well as (or instead of) VM.
Here's the page from the Gmail Help pages that tells you how to report something that doesn’t work, such as errors or product bugs in respect of Gmail.
https://support.google.com/mail/answer/9212652?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DiOS&oco=0
The page lists the way to do that if you are accessing Gmail using
- the Gmail Android app,
- a browser to access the Gmail website on a computer
- or an iPhone or iPad
Just click the relevant heading "Android" " Computer" or "iPhone & iPad" that you are using.

I can't report it to Google because I am not on gmail myself. The problem is that any recipients of my Virgin (blueyonder) emails who are on gmail don't receive them in their inbox. The emails are sent by Google to their Spam folder and they don't always notice those.

Two more om my contacts who are on gmail have reported that an email I sent yesterday went to their SPAM. Why are the forum team not picking up that the issue still exists and getting the tech boys to sort. I for one will be ditching VM when my contract is due for renewal as the service is rubbish.

Bear in mind that 90 days after you close your VM broadband account VM will be deleting all the VM email accounts linked to it.
So unless you take steps to download or archive your Blueyonder emails before hand you will lose all access to them.
VM used to be fairly lax on deleting email accounts on closed broadband contracts but once they stopped issuing new VM email accounts in May 2022 they introduced an active policy with regard to that.
Se here https://www.virginmedia.com/help/broadband/email-account-closure
It will take time for you to switch over to using a new email account, updating all your online accounts with your new address for example. So you really need to set up your new email account with a dedicated email provider as soon as possible. Better to da that at your own pace than wait until you close your VM account and then have to rush it before your VM email accounts disappear.
I would also add the even if you decide to renew your VM broadband and TV contract you would do well to still switch to using non VM email accounts. With no new VM email accounts being created and the email accounts of ex VM customers being deleted, the number of VM email accounts is on a steady decline.

Yes I know all that but as its not due for renewal until well into next year have plenty of time to get organised. I am slowly going to migrate most of my emails to gmail in the meantime.
But that aside it would be nice if VM could just srt this current issue.

Three different members of the Forum Team have promised on this thread to investigate this issue. NONE have returned to give an update.
Forum Team, stop making empty promises and DO SOMETHING. Large numbers of blueyonder emails are still being treated as spam every day - it is NOT resolved.
- CYDDialled in
The only reply from one was "we have asked you to be patient" well how long does that mean, over 4 weeks now since issue first raised, still not fixed and absolutely no evidence they are trying. If we ask for compensation for lack of service they will give an excuse that it is not their issue - well we are VM customers therefore they should be fixing it or advocating on our behalf.......

I do have a workaround for this, but it does involve the gmail user to create a filter which states that your blueyonder email address never gets sent to spam. This is fine if you just have a few friends as they can do this in less than 1 minute but obviously it won't really work if you don't know the gmail users.
I've been trying to get help from the gmail support community and we did discover this. They're adamant that it's an issue on the Virgin Media side.

It is now 12 days since any member of thre forum team has commenxted on this, surely VM you should sorted this by now. The rsponse is to be frank rubbish.
- mikes2400Fibre optic
I had a private message from the forum team 4 days ago which assured me that they were still investigating the issue (but as each day goes by I find it more difficult to believe).
- mikes2400Fibre optic
This has been going on for weeks without being resolved (despite myself and others receiving private messages from the Forum Team). It is clear that it can only be resolved at a high level between Virgin and Google (who are deliberately putting every message from blueyonder.co.uk into gmail spam folders).
- RETDPMSOOn our wavelength
The last time this happened it took them an age to fix but surely they only have to go back to the previous fix to see what the issue was and then work from there.

What is doubly annoting is that you might think that forwarding bluyonder emails to a gmail account with the 'never put that senders address in spam', will still go to spam if sent to another gmail account
- nigelssUp to speed
Count me in too. 14th October at 0045hrs. Sent a message from blueyonder to gmail. Straight into the spam folder it goes. This does seem pretty inexcusable after all this time, given that an earlier post contained a google link which explains why this happens and what to do about it!
Also explains why when I sent emails with the link for a Teams meeting last week they didn't arrive. Good job someone looked in the spam folder.
