I have blocked umpteen scam email senders but I am still getting emails from the same source/sender . I though blocking would prevent this ?

Explained in your topic from yesterday

    https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Blocking-emails-not-working/td-p/5585852

If you want a reliable email service, with useful features that actually work, you need to move away from using VM email.

Moving a mailbox to a new email address can take time but it is time well-spent if you can then forget about having to deal with the never-ending list of problems with VM email and having to respond each time a new problem comes along.

  • Hi davidwogg thanks for your post although we're sorry to hear of your concerns raised here.

If the email has changed slightly and the spam sender is showing as the same (but they've changed their own email slightly) this may be why it is still getting through to you.

We'd also advise sending the email address to phishing@virginmedia.co.uk and this can be investigated. Please also see here for further details.

    Many thanks

        Hi davidwogg

Thanks for coming back to us.

Can you elaborate on these letters please?

  • Hi...

I have had logged a couple of complaints to VM. In response to my latest complaint I have received two response for their resolutions team and in both cases the email begins...

"We have an update for you on how your complaint is progressing with us. We’ve tried to contact you to discuss in more detail, but we were unable to reach you. We didn’t want to delay things, so we’ve gone ahead and offered a proposed resolution......"

Unfortunately it just seems to be just a standard part of their supposed resolution as they offer no further information as to how or when these supposed contacts were attempted.

Know that doesn't help your particular issue  but just wanted give let you know you are not alone in getting these frustrating responses from that team.
