Another NTLWorld email account issue. Just stopped working on iPhone this morning

Hi,

Can anyone please help?

I am still using my original NTLWorld email accounts and today they all stopped working. My last received email being 08:35 this morning on my iPhone. Nothing has changed at my end. I can still log into my VirginMedia account fine via web browser from my pc and see new emails but my phone just displays the circle of death whilst searching for new emails, then reports, there are errors on all my ntlworld accounts.

iPhone Setting/apps/ mail does not show any obvious issues and why should it as nothing has changed so I believe this to be an issue created from VM.

Is it possible for someone to look into this for me please?

Regards,

  • I have a similar issue. Email was working fine until this morning  - now getting password prompt, not accepting password on any devices, or Outlook on either laptops nor via webmail as says authentication information no longer accepted by provider. Contacted support and told 'we no longer support these domains, that's why you are unable to access. Hope you understand..' Quite an issue as I have really important emails I need to access so hope it can be fixed.

No that’s rubbish and an outright lie. See other threads on here with very similar issues and outcomes.

I have a similar issue - from the time (starting c 8.30AM) I'd assume it to be related.  I use Outlook Express on my desktop as a preferred way of accessing emails, and around eight thirty OE stopped receiving and sending emails from my blueyonder address - while working normally for my backup gmail address.  Webmail shows emails coming in and - bizarrely - an outmoded desktop version of Outlook still works fine with my blueyonder address.  I'd guess some bungled systems update somewhere isn't meshing with other systems.

Update - whatever it was seems to have reversed itself. All working normally for the moment.
