Accessing VM webmail and user account

About ?6 months ago I was required to set up third party emails/passwords to access webmail via browser - I was also given hyphenated four word passwords to use on mobile email clients.

It seems with the O2 business merger this has changed and no longer applies. (Could someone confirm please?) I was led into this reset via a text from 02 about my price, and went into linking my virgin accounts to 02

Ive just about got there but its very confusing - i can now access user main account and 2 x ntl email accounts without using passwords - just the 'passkey' feature

My queries are -

Do i still need the 4 word passwords for third party email clients on mobile ?  They are all working as  originally set up a few months back.

I used to be able to view all my accounts including main and various email accounts in one place and manage them etc....but this feature no longer available.

thanks

Dave

Hi Coenoby - thanks for helpful reply.

ref 2 - under old system setting up and managing email accounts was done via the user account and all email accounts were listed in user account and could be deleted or managed from there - I'm guessing this has gone for security reasons and each email account is managed via its own login.

IF i want to set up a new email account where would i go?  There appears to be an add email account under each and every one of my webmail accounts - I find this a bit confusing as not all these are account holder accounts

I have three accounts: accountholder (gmailaddr) /  myself (ntlworldaddr) / wife (ntlworldaddr)

The ntlworld accounts were added as additional non account holder accounts and these are our main emails.  We were recently offered a 360 box free and the links allowed me to request it under myself at ntlworld ? But that is not the user account, and would have thought it would need to be

    thanks

    1. "Do i still need the 4 word passwords for third party email clients on mobile ? "

The answer is "Yes". The passkeys are just for signing into your VM accounts on the VM website. The 4 word Mail app passwords are only used in the account settings of email apps and clients so are unaffected by the VM02 signin changes.

    2) "I used to be able to view all my accounts including main and various email accounts in one place"

Are you referring there to the option to access a number of email accounts from within a single VM webmail account?

So for example you can set up the VM webmail account for your primary VM account to manage all your secondary VM email accounts.

The thing that often confuses people though is that in that situation VM webmail is acting as an email app to manage your secondary email accounts. Therefore the settings for each of the secondary email accounts in your primary VM webmail account need to include the 4 word / mail app password for relevant that email address. So they need to mirror the email settings in your mail app on your mobile.

I have never used that option but it certainly still seems to still be available. Please explain a bit more if you are referring to some other way of "managing all you accounts in one place".
