Accessing secondary email account

Like many others I'm having problems accessing a secondary eMail account.

Some time ago I was asked to create a Virgin/O2 login using a different eMail address. I did this (using my GMail account ) & all was working fine, for quite some time.

This morning when my wife tried to read her eMails (the secondary account) the system asked her to set up a Virgin/O2 ID using another eMail address. She did this (using her own GMail account), she then linked it to our main account - this ID seems to have replaced mine & we can only see my eMails (the primary eMail).

Tried logging onto her account via an app, but it won't accept the password.

We only want to access her account to move eMails & then close it (it's obvious that Virgin/O2 don't want to support an eMail service so we want to move everything out asap).

At a total loss - any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Hello BBQColin,

Welcome back to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your secondary email account.

Is your wife able to access her emails by logging into the online account with her email address and password? Has your wife been able to access since you originally created the Virgin Media O2 ID?

    Kind Regards,

    Steven_L

After a lot of messing around we can now access my wife's eMail via the virgin website & my eMails via the app. My wife's account is now the primary account where we can see bills etc.

Not really sure how I got to this stage & don't want to mess around much further in case I can no longer access either.

This situation, together with poor customer service (wow you've had some negative press this week), above inflation price increases, a total lottery when it comes to  the price of a contract renewal, and I'm pretty sure my very long association with Virgin/O2 is rapidly coming to an end - everything is an ordeal.
