Access to deceased persons email

As executor to my son’s estate I need access to his email. He has a secondary email address on my virginmedia account but I have no idea how to access it. Can anyone help? I’d rather not have to phone virginmedia as the last few months dealing with various institutions on the phone has drained me completely and the last thing I need is speaking to someone who I can barely understand.

    This is the message I get when trying to access the link. Not sure if it’s related to the fact I cant access the community using safari so I am using chrome.

    Just had a phone call from someone on the executive team in Manchester. He is trying to get this sorted for me. Will update with any developments.

        Still waiting on a phone call from virginmedia.

        I’ve found out the hard way that there are numerous companies out there who have no idea how to deal with bereavement and i’m sure they outnumber the better ones.

    Had a call from someone who I could barely hear due to background noise and as usual could hardly understand what he was saying. He obviously had no idea what he was doing. He asked me if I knew my sons password. If  I knew that I wouldn’t be asking for help. He had no idea that my son had died and it was his email I’m trying to access. After various attempts he gave up and has raised another case to have someone who knows what they are doing look into it. I’m so sick of this I don’t think it should be this difficult.

    I’m now sorry that I have renewed my contract with virginmedia who I have been with since telewest days.

    We now have access. It’s not been easy. Some of the links I was given didn’t appear to work on my ipad. Not sure if it’s the Safari browser causing my problems. It does appear that virginmedia has complicated email access. I’m definitely going to look to change to other broadband and email providers in the future.
