About to have my main email deleted!

Hi

Had a "virgin.net" email as my main personal email address for over 30 years now and is my main contact.

Just been told it will be deleted in 30 days!

Realise there's nothing free in life, but would seriously like to hang onto it.

Would happily return to Virgin Media as my BB supplier (when current contract ends) if that would help!

Any suggestions?

Get another email address, e.g. Gmail, Outlook or similar and move all your email asap.  You have done very well to have 30 years of email server use for, basically free?  Have a look at Mailstore Home to help with archiving your email away from VM.  Or just logon to your VM mail and forward everything to your new Gmail mailbox etc.

  • Hi agsmith1 thanks for posting and welcome to our community.

Sorry to hear of the concerns the notification regarding your virgin.net email address may have given you.  We have written to a small proportion of former Virgin Media customers, who left 10 years ago, to advise that we will close the email address that was linked to their old account with us. We are giving impacted individuals sufficient time to set up a new email account with another provider and move any emails they may wish to keep.

    Regards

The “Virgin” companies are all different. The only common thing is the name.  You would be well advised to download your emails to elsewhere asap. and use a mail provider that is not linked to an ISP.
