Checking online, virgin advertise Gig1 broadband at £36.99 a month, yet I have asked to reduce my package from TV, phone and broadband to just broadband, keeping the Gig1 and am told that it will cost me £72 a month on a rolling 30 day contract? Why is reducing my package costing me almost twice as much. I don't understand
You aren't a new customer, so you won't be given new customer prices.
It's how the VM system works.
Are there other options?, Openreach, Altnets? I have to admit, £72 is very high price for 1Gb. But that's the modus operandi of VM. New customers only ..... If you can do with a SIM based router for 3 months, you could leave and return as a "new" customer after that time.
