Forum Staff and Forum Moderators don't tend to frequent the natter and chatter forums which are generally forums for non VM related activity.
The Forums aren't an instant messaging service, and staff/mods tend to work the same hours on a rota system as the rest of the VM employees.
The Forum Staff/Mods also work on other VM social media platforms such as twitter and facebook.
You should receive a reply to your thread <here> when the agent that is helping you via DM is next online.
If you want any quicker resolution then either phone VM on 150 from a Virgin landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone, or use the instant messaging facilities on VM's Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/virginmedia or Twitter: https://twitter.com/virginmedia pages.

There are two tiers of staff operating the boards. VM Moderators are there to keep us all in order, ensure the rules are met & highlight any urgent issues. The role of responding goes down to the main forum staff, who then deal with posts in strict rotation, starting with the oldest with the least activity.

I honestly think the moderators are helping the lack of service for VM, more kudos?
