Wifi pod issues

I just received a wifi pod today replacing my old netgear extender due to the bad speed and I'm happy to say that I'm getting the max speed in the areas where the dead spots were but there is now 2 issues with the virgin media wifi pods. The wifi pod gets very hot and I'm getting high ping issues when im playing games. I never had this issue with the netgear extender as i would get the same ping as if i was connected straight to the hub through ethernet but the only downside with the netgear extender was the low speeds. I also experienced a random reboot in the wifi pod and i don't know if it was because it was overheating because i wasn't looking at it so i didn't see any lights until it restarted. Can anybody help me with this issue?

    I would like to say i am also connected to the pod via ethernet and i was also connected to the netgear extended via ethernet.

      We're sorry to hear you've been having issues with your new WiFi pod getting hot. This is something we will certainly need to check and investigate. In order to do that I will need to confirm some information with you to pass security.

      Why oh Why ?
      Does the Console or PC not have internal Wi-Fi ?

      The classic school boy error is a VM Pod or Wi-Fi repeater located in a spot of poor Wi-Fi reception
      and plugged in close to the Console or PC or TV that it is intended to serve.
