Virgin media online security not working

Looking for some help as I feel like pulling my hair out. Trying to set up online security as my eldest is getting older. I've been trying for the last 4 days and I'm getting no where. At no point have I got it to fully work and even when I've got it 75% there, it seems to reset to where I've got no protection. Scheduling a time for it to be active has never worked. Adding specific websites has only worked once until it reset and when I block the whole list of options it seems to sporadically work. I know there are other options (3rd party router, etc) but I'm trying to do this without having to spend more money. Any advice or help would be great.     Agree as above, however you could set the DNS on the device(s) to use Cloudflare Adult and Malware filters.   1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3

    At the end of the day all these filters are easily bypassed.

    VM just want you to have internet and depending on how you look at it from router mode side of things not that great your other option is another ISP.
