Using a Managed Switch.

I am introducing a managed switch which has PoE and non-PoE RJ45 ports so that I can distribute fixed and wireless access points in my house, and further into my garage and summer house.

My questions are:

What is the DHCP range for my VM router. I need to know the range so that I can give my switch a fixed IP address outside the DHCP range.

I need my router credentials, which I have never received, so that I can login to the router and disable wireless as I will have separate access points on my structured cable setup.

You can log into the settings on a browser using -  http://192.168.0.1 (or http://192.168.100.1 - if in modem mode) (DONT click these links) - and hit return.  Then use the settings password on the base sticker - not the wifi one - and log in

I always keep my network equipment in the range 220 upwards. 22x for Pinhole DNS servers, 23x for cameras, 24x for switches  & 25x for APs.
