Upstream dbv

What value is acceptable where it shouldnt cause issues with gaming?

 

Mine is saying 39 dbV on upstream

    The Upstream power figures are the transmission levels from the VM Hub to the Street Cabinet.
    Provided the level is not rising to the upper 50s of dBmV all is OK.
    So 39dBmV is fine.

    What is also important on the 3.0 Upstream channels is to check there are four to six channels present,
    preferably they will all be at 64 qam,  seeing 32 qam or 16 qam tends to mean a temporary line noise issue.

    Yes 39 dBmV is very good. The higher this value is, the worse the connection is. Low can mean you are near the street box, high can mean you are a long way from the street box.
