TV losing connection since upgrading to 360 service

So I accepted the upgrade of my TV service too the 360 box. Since then wherever I try to watch streaming TV services, the WiFi connection drops out wherever the adverts come on! I'm thinking the issue is the router that can't cope.. The WiFi signal around the house is good(I have Tenda mesh system)

Also the TV confirmed that it's connected to the WiFi but the connection drops out intermittently. I have also noticed VPN drops out when I'm working from home.

Can someone check my router? I have the super hub 3 i think it's called.i also have 500mb service and only help 100 mb died downstairs....(But that's not the problem)

Can't someone help... Do I need a newer router with the 360 TV service?

  • UPDATE - I have now tried watching a few different streams and tested trying to watch a show on more 4. Each time I try to watch it, as soon as the adverts come on...bam the spinning green circle and it hangs......I cannot watch ANY streaming service via the 360 box. However, if I try on the Samsung smart hub and watch the same streaming more 4, it works perfectly and I get through all the adverts and can watch the programme. So the issue is definitely with the tv360 box! Please help.

What happens if you connect the 360 directly to the hub with an Ethernet cable?

Thanks for the input, unfortunately the router is upstairs on the 3rd floor and TV on the ground floor so that's not really an option. The thing is...this worked perfectly ok before the TiVo box was swapped out. I'm thinking that the higher quality 360 data for the box is just too much now for the crappy router WiFi?

That's asking a lot from a Hub 3 Wifi ...    Consider powerline adapters to get a cabled connection, they may work better.

  • Yep I have power line adapters and mesh....it's been working for years...and I'm a computer engineer so I know what I'm doing. That's why I suggested that I think the router is the problem ....I think it needs a newer hub! Whatever the latest one is.

How do I go about arranging for that to be replaces? Anyone know the best way to approach it?
