Thinking about upgrading

Hello

I am thinking about upgrading my internet connection from 500mb to 1gb but have a couple of questions...

Would I be sent a new modem for the higher speed or will the one I have be ok; I presently have a Virgin Media Hub 3

Would my 3 Virgin Media wi-fi pods need re-configuring, if so how do I go about doing this

    Hey johnasimmons, thank you for reaching out and for your question today.

    You would get a new hub if you are going for the 1GB connection this would be the hub5.

    The WIFI pods would need to be set up with the new pod we can help with this or just reset them at the time.

    Yes, you would be provided a HUB 4 or 5 since the 3 doesn't support DOCSIS 3.1, which is required for Gig1.

    Yes, your Wi-Fi pods would need to 'know' of the new HUB to connect to. This should be automatic when the new HUB comes online and is associated with your account, however, doesn't always happen and you have to contact VM to resolve.

      What would be the best VM number to ring if I need them to connect the Pods to my new Hub?
