SuperHub 3.0 constant redlight

Hi All

My SH3 developed a constant red light a few months back - it was not hot or badly ventilated plus the broadband worked.  Today it has cut out completely - VM diagnostics could not restart so I did this manually with a full reset without any success.  The 192.168.0.1 settings page is very slow and some settings cannot be reached at all.

I have had this hub for many years but is it now dead ? 

  • The Hub really should have been replaced since it has the red LED failure.  However, it seems like it is on it's way out.  I would guess a Hub swap is on the cards.  If you wait here for a couple of days a VM Mod should pick this up and discuss directly with you.

  • Hello, I have the same problem as mentioned in the discussion above. I have a constant red light on my hub three router and intermittent Internet as a result. I have completed two rounds of pinhole reset and also taking a phone call with a virgin representative who advised to do this again the Internet worked for a short time but is now failed again. Could you please message me personally to arrange a replacement of the hub, many thanks.

      Hey danbeevers, thank you for reaching out and we are so sorry to hear about the red light issue.

      We are going to send you a DM, but please try these steps;

      • Turn the power switch off on the back of the Hub.

      • Ensure the Hub is upright, in a well-ventilated location, and, if at all possible, out of direct sunlight.

      • Then use the power switch to turn the unit back on. The Hub should now operate normally.
