Streaming issues

I am trying to stream from channel 4 catch up and my router is hard wired to my tv. I am getting the wheel of doom I moved my router closer to the tv to reduce this issue at night when my hub 3 decides to reduce its capacity and again the wheel of doom appears when using any on demand service or my fire stick. When previously I have contacted virgin media they report there are no issues. If that is the case why do I have issues. I am now having issues in the daytime trying to catch up with some past programs that I can’t watch at night due to the wheel of doom. Is anyone else experiencing this.

You mention that you are hard wired to your TV.  Make sure that your TV also has the latest firmware/software and apps.

Have you tried a different ethernet cable with your TV?

If you are using a VM set top box then /which-tv-box is it?

We have a Hub 3 & stream TV and also use a Fire Stick without buffering issues. The Fire stick has a speed test in the Network part of its menus, give that try.  Make sure the Fire stick software is updating and also make sure the apps are updating too.

Check for known VM faults in your street. Try both methods:

Call the local fault line: 0800 561 0061 – this is an automated number.

    Check the VM Service Speed:

    https://www.samknows.com/realspeed/

Once the test begins click on: Run full test
to include: Latency, Jitter, Packet loss & Upload speed

The speed at the Hub should reflect your subscription.

The same “Samknows Realspeed” tests are available as very handy
apps for iPhone/iPad and Android mobile / tablets.
