So thats my expected speeds
I have 2 devices connected and 1 device is going at 70-80 mbps and another going at 200 mbps
I've run multible tests at they are quite consistent results
just feels weird how 2 devices are going at very different speeds when they werent until I rebooted the router
Im a new customer so nut used to the virgin set up

Ethernet has a stable speed link wifi does not plus wifi hardware has a range of what its top speed can be alone with what the hub can do.

Depending on the Wi-Fi Channel number used, it can take several minutes
for the 5 GHz Wi-Fi of the VM Hub to restart after a reboot.
That might mean the lower speed test perhaps just after the Hub reboot
was via the slower 2.4GHz band. - jpeg1Alessandro Volta
Those are very reasonable wifi speeds.
Each device and each location will be different. To get the highest speeds you will need to check which wifi band and which bandwidth each is using.
VM will not promise more than 30Mbps

thanks for the replies
when i run diagnostics on my router settings (192.168.0.1) it says my home network has a few problems
it has a red exclamation mark next to "checking wifi settings" as if there is something up
the speeds im getting are fast enough anyway but was just curious

Our VM Hub is also very prone to spurious diagnostic remarks about Wi-Fi devices that are working absolutely fine, it also likes to gripe about a network cable connection that is sub par and that is an Epson Printer/Scanner that has a 10/100 network adaptor, the VM Hub is griping because it is not 1000.
To my mind the VM Hub diagnostic tool cries wolf far too often. - inofftheredSettling in
I got it sorted by getting a new network adapter for my pc
I was using a usb wireless adapter but bought a pci wireless card and I'm now getting wifi speeds of 600-700 mbps

Please bear in mind that different devices have different WiFi capabilities. Some only operate on 2.4Ghz and some on the newer 5Ghz. Within that, some devices are limited in bandwidth by their own hardware.
The 5Ghz band, while faster, has less range and so the device might have switched to the slower band in order to get a stronger signal.
As others have said, it might take time for the WiFi to stabilise. However, your devices may also benefit from re-establishing the connection. Maybe try removing the connection from your device and creating the connection again.
