routers

I use modem mode with a hub 3 amd my own tp link touter which is 5 years old single channel and no recent firmware is available since 2021 and it does have known exploits for my model version.

I was wondering if I do need to  replace my exisiting router for a better model, but would want one that will just plug in and go with no problems, perhaps Asus or netgear for example, one that will update  firmware automatically preffered, but  just a cheap one would do as long as it is secure, so any suggestions would be helpful.

Or If the risk is low, can I continue with my old TP Link as I have had no issues.

I would spend up to £100.

      The flaw is as follows-

Three TP-Link router models have been attacked with a command injection vulnerability with a severity score of 8.8; the flaw is considered highly severe.

This means the firmware can be attacked, but I have not been aware of any issues myself.

No harm in updating to be on the safe side if I can find one that updates automatically.
