Repeated broadband outages (again)

Back in the summer, I was experiencing regular broadband outages.  Following an engineer visit (he was very thorough), the problem was resolved.  over the last 3 days, I have once again begun to experience brief broadband outages ranging from around 30 seconds to a little over a minute (as recorded by NetUptime Monitor).  I also use Broadband Quality Monitor, and the outages coincide with spikes on the graphs during those 3 days.  i have pasted images of the graphs below.  I have no idea what these spikes might indicate.  Is there anyone technical who might help?

Thanks in anticipation

    Possibly an area fault.

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web page status, but this is not recommended as it only covers issues that affect a very large number of customers.

VM will not dispatch any technicians while an area fault exists.

    If no area faults found:

The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post. This board is not a fault reporting system.

  • Hi RCC49,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

We're sorry to hear you're having issues with your broadband connection. Checking things here, there is currently no area fault affecting you. We've done some checks on the hub and network too and everything looks to be spot on. Both your upstream and downstream power levels are optimal, as are the signal levels.

How have things been since you last posted?

Pop back and let us know.

    Thanks,
