Re: Disney+ showing USA content

This has been going on for a few days now and I have noticed multiple posts outlining the exact same issue. Annoyingly, some of these posts have been marked as solved when they very clearly have not been solved in the comments.

I have been in multiple live chats and been told I'd be contacted by mobile to no avail.

This issue seems to only be happening all in one particular spot of the UK, the teesside area.

Its very clear that nothing can be done from the users side and Virgin need to sort it out on their end.

If you have a company VPN that does not work, that is your firm's problem to solve.

Some customers have location issues with USA based TV streaming services
that appear to be using a defective IP to Location lookup.

If you are affected, try with the Netflix test with http://www.fast.com click on Show more info, looking bottom left for me it shows "Client   Ipswich, GB" a valid estimate.

If FAST.COM returns a wildly false location, compare that to an IP to Location service that appears to be working correctly :  https://whatismyipaddress.com/

I do not use a VPN. Client shows Stockton, US. It’s clear they’ve mixed up Stockton UK with US. I just don’t understand how that can’t be rectified after nearly a week…

“Your firm’s problem to solve” holy glaze

      Fast.com shows Stockton, CA.

      whatismyipaddress shows Basinstoke 🤔

It’s ridiculous now, makes no sense at all.

I work from home so it’s caused massive issues as I was unable to log in since I’m ‘in the US’ and I’ve had to travel to office every single day, spent more money on petrol

You’d think it’s a major security issue as well, how this hasn’t been resolved yet is beyond me.

It’s insane, customer services have no clue what’s going on

The Forum Mods are aware of the issue and are working on resolving it.   A fault ticket has been raised  F011978457.  They will respond in the thread <Here> when there are any updates.

In the meantime the ModTeam   have asked if  customers with this issue to, "please pop us a PM with a traceroute and the destination IP"

It would be helpful if you could repsond to their request as it may expedite a solution.

Why does the thread say it’s solved?

        Lendotexe

The ModTeam  have actually explained on the Solved post itself within that thread,

"[Mod - marked as solution for post visibility only, please PM us with the above information]"
