Intermittent wifi

can someone please advise me on what to do ive had issues with my wifi box for almost a year now the wifi cuts out atleast 3 times every day and then requires a restart ill restart it but the light always remains orange and the wifi gives out 2 bars maximum i’ve changed cables that could have been damaged and it has made no difference at all and i don’t know what to do i’m not very tech savvy but it needs fixing everytime i call up they tell me the broadband shows no issues but there clearly is an issue and there has been for virtually a year

    Ok first thing we need to know is whether this may be a simple wifi issue.

    So, are your issues only evident on wifi connections or do you see them at the same times on devices connected on ethernet cables?

    If you don't know, can you check on one to help diagnose whether it is just a wifi issue or it could be network connection/Hub related?

    What Hub model is it - sounds like the Hub3?

    VM Smart Wi-Fi and Auto changing channels caused this issue for us as was solved with :

    1) Disable Smart Wi-Fi aka Wireless Channel Optimization
    2) Select Channel 1 or 6 or 11 on the 2.4 GHz band
    3) Select Channel 36 or 44 on the 5 GHz band
