Hub free upgrade

Hi I own Superhub 3 with code TG2492LG-VM, is the free upgrade still available?

  • HUB3's are by VM invite only (email usually) or through re-contract negotiation.

New customers on M350 or above are getting HUB5's (unless a stock issue) and as Adduxi stated, older hubs like SH1/SH2/SH2ac are getting a HUB4 because those old hubs no longer receive security updates to their firmware as end of life.

Secure by Design rules under the 'Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act' (PSTI), came into effect on 29th April 2024. This requires, among other things, that manufacturers and retailers must be "open with consumers on the minimum time they can expect to receive important security updates” for their smart/connected devices.

The new 'Telecoms Security Act', which sets out expectations for how telecoms providers should monitor and reduce the risks of security compromises relating to older devices (such as routers), which no longer receive security updates. This came into force at the end of March 2025.

      Hi Nonameleft

      Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thank you for your interest in upgrading your Hub 3.

We can see that the Community has already advised that the offer is not available. We do sometimes send out marketing with promotions and free equipment upgrades. So if you like to receive these kinds of communications, ensure your marketing preferences are up to date with your preferred method of contact. To update your marketing preferences, just sign in to My VM here > Click on Account settings > Marketing preferences > Edit my preferences. From here, you can choose whether you want to receive offers. If you switch this off, it will stop any calls, emails and addressed marketing.

  • Have you got the link for where you saw mention of a hub upgrade please? If it's the Express it's wrong.

I don't think the Hub 3 qualifies for a free upgrade, it's the SH1, SH2 and SH2ac that are being replaced.
