These latest firmware updates are so frustrating.
My hub 5 has done the same again today.
factory resetting the hub every time is not sustainable.
also my 2.5Gb DLink network switch is unmanaged so I can’t switch off
why do virgin software developers do this to consumers .
I suppose they don't think users have 2.5Gb switches, and if they do they should buy +£300 managed ones .... <sigh>
I don’t think they test it honestly. Virgin seem to deploy 3 to 6 months after other providers who use the same kit. I think the strategy is “let them find the issue and we will just throw it out in the UK once the dust settles.” Of course, this time around it’s just poor, this issues been known about on this hub since November 2023 where cable forums outside of the uk have been complaining of this issue. That worries me, that those other providers still have no fix and it’s been December, Jan + feb (3 months).
