Hub 5 Network Switch

Hello Forgive me, I have tried searching for an answer to this but I cannot find one. I've a Hub 5 and at the moment I have it connected via the 2.5GB port to an ASUS router, which also has a 2.5GB...

    Your ASUS router would need to have 2.5Gb LAN port for you to connect a switch (or 1Gb port will work just be limited to internet at 940Mb but devices on the switch will but 2.5Gb LAN).

    The hub in modem mode only allows one source MAC so having a normal switch to the hub 2.5Gb and a router and other devices each with their own MAC will not work.

You dont need cat 6 or 8 cable to support 2.5Ghz, Cat5e is perfectly capable of supporting this. 

My home is Hub 5, patch lead to wall socket, cable run via loft (Bungalow) to 2nd bedroom 20 meters into wall socket, Patch lead to 8 port 2.5 Gigabit switch, patch lead to 2.5 port of PC. Patch leads are cat 6. 

When the Hub 5 2.5 port is working I can get speedtests of 1140 to 1160.

Currently the 2.5 port is not functioning, I have read that a recent firmware update has caused it to stop working. A recent Hub 5 firmware update has broken the 2.5 Gbit port. i am having to use one of the other x3 - 1 gig ports and get 960
