Hub 4 settings

I'm trying to log into my Hub 4 IP. It asks for the settings password which I am inputting as printed on the bottom of the router, but it replies password not recognised!

I need to try and create a 2.4ghz signal to connect some devices to the network.

  • Sometimes the quality of the printing isn't great eg appearing to shows v for y or o for g. Give some alternatives like this with your string of characters a go.

Also try entering a trailing space at the end of password before pressing enter.

This is why defaults like login (not for wifi) where 1234 then change after reset for first login was a good idea.

If needed you need a new hub unless VM are going to say well just use defaults in which case for some reason you can't make out the wifi password...then they have to give you a new hub due to the last person who had the hub messed up the printed passwords

  • Hi nickmcconnachie

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you're having some issues with the settings login. Has this been resolved since posting? If not, have you tried a 60 second PIN reset?

In relation to the signal, apologies you're having issues with some devices. Do they see the connection at all and just not connect, or nothing?

If nothing, try our Connect App 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/connect-app which hopefully will help :)

    Keep us posted.
