Hub 3 & WiFi Pods not connecting

I used to have a White WiFi Pod and it just stopped working.

Virgin have sent me 2 new Black WiFi Pods so far and neither of them are connecting.

I have tried the pods in various locations where I know the WiFi signal is good.

I have also factory reset my HUB via the reset switch and via the web portal, and this has had not effect.

Sometimes if I leave the Pods on for a few hours, suddenly every device in the house drops it's WiFi connection until I switch the Pod off, then they all just reconnect immediately.

Also my HUB has a RED light on the front, but I have been told by several engineers (via chat & phone) that this is not a problem and then the HUB is working OK.

  • Hey david13deb23, thank you for reaching out and we are so sorry to hear about your pod issue, also a warm welcome to the community.

Did the above advice help at all?

    With the red light, can you please try these steps;

    • Turn the power switch off on the back of the Hub.

    • Ensure the Hub is upright, in a well-ventilated location, and, if at all possible, out of direct sunlight.

    • Then use the power switch to turn the unit back on. The Hub should now operate normally.

VM Hub Settings required for VM Pods to work:

    1. The Hub is in 'Router Mode'
    2. Wireless Channel Optimisation is Enabled
    3. The 2.4 & 5 GHz bands have the same SSID
    4. SSID broadcast is Enabled on both bands
    5. Both SSID are protected with the same password
    6. The DHCP server of the VM Hub is Enabled

Can you see the VM Pods in the Connect app ?

If not contact VM and request all the VM Pods are paired to your VM Hub.
