Going to have the room which my VM modem in soon.

What should I use to protect it while the room is plastered and then painted. Do not want to effect the signal.

Thanks

If you are that worried, remove the Hub.  If that's not an option, then cover loosely with a dust sheet.  Just keep an eye on the temperature if the air flow is being restricted.

  • It would be good to understand what kit you have before we can offer any meaningful advice.

Ensure that the wall socket and cables do not get damaged. You can unscrew the cable from the socket if necessary and put it in another room. Mask the socket so that it's protected from paint.

    Morning All

Have Hub 5 with my landline connected. The room is being plastered and then painted. I can not remove the modem etc as family members will be working from home during

A dust sheet has been suggested but would heat be an issue?

Any other suggestions would be great

    TIA

Hey Vim1965, thank you for reaching out and we are sorry to hear about your worries.

We wouldn't advise against using a sheet for a long time period.

I am glad we removed the VM Hub and all IT kit from my office during the recent re-plastering.

The noise / dust / mess was considerably worse that we had imagined.

Use you WFH Plan B i.e. a mobile hot spot during the re-plastering & following clean up.
