How do I order WiFi Pods

I'm going round in circles here trying to order a WiFi Pod.

It seems the only way forward is to create this post. The Connect App is reporting a download speed of 1 Mbps and Device capability of 433 Mbps in the back room, but the App does not have an option to order a pod.

I have the Volt 600 ultimate package and the download speed in the room with the Hub 3 is 270 Mbps.

For the last 15 years or so I have been using a TP Link Home Plug and extender for the back room but it no longer working properly.

Please help.

Thanks.

  • Ive got 2 pods, The 1st pod was for free when they done the beta trial on release then got my 2nd pod delivered a few months ago.

You need to do a scan on the connect app

Take a screen shot of the results

Go on live chat on VM website and request a pod. The agent will ask you to upload screenshots of the scan results and then order the pod for you which should be delivered by yodel a few days later.

Little tip,- The chat agent might say there is a £8pm charge for the pod unless you're a volt customer, Do not accept the charge and state the VM wifi guarantee policy. If the agent wont budge, Simply decline and end the chat then re try with an other agent eventually you should get it FOC. It took me 2 attempts to get the 2nd pod for free.

Im on the maxit tv / 200mgb internet package I now have 2x pods and wifi is much better throughout my house and i dont pay any extra for the pods.

Thank you for your time and response Stephen.

Your post is an option which I had not considered. I'll see how I get on with Matt below.

  • Hey Bill333, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community I am sorry to hear about this.

The best way to get a pod order is download the Virgin Connect app, from here do a scan.

If the scan picks up that you need a pod it will allow you to order some.

However they can be chargeable depending what package you on.

They are free on Volt, 1GB or Oomph bundles.

Please let me know how you get on. Thanks

  • Thanks for your response, but as stated, I have already done that!

    Here is the proof:-

  • How do I order my free pod as I have theVolt Gig1 package

done the scan on the vm connect app an it recommended a in 2 different room but keep getting send in circles 😵💫

  • I’m having the same issue. It’s impossible to order them I have come to the conclusion. I feel like they need reporting as I’m just going in circles and they are not providing what they promise.

I have just upgraded my service and have a hub speed of 554Mbps.  I have carried out checks with the Vigin Connect app and my results are:

Lounge (where hub is located): 279Mbps

        Study: 49Mbps

        Bedrooms: 10 and 7Mbps

The app is not allowing me to order a booster hub.  How do I get one?

        Thanks
