I have been a Virgin customer from the start. I note I’m still on the old Hub 3 but my son-in-law has just been upgraded from Hub 4 to Hub 5 at no extra cost. Surely I’m entitled to a Hub upgrade. Look forward to hearing from Virgin on the subject.

Everyone wants a Hub 5 until they encounter the compatibility issues of Wi-Fi 6 on the 2.4GHz band and struggle with their Wi-Fi printer, IoTs & CCTV equipment !

I have just been on the phone renewing my contract and I mentioned how pleased I was to read in the media that Virgin will be upgrading me from a hub 3 to a hub 5 soon and he said I will not be getting one unless I upgrade my package, hub 5 is only for customers on the highest download speed. So either he is uninformed or the media announcements are misleading.

What a surprise.
The clunker of a VM press release omitted to mention time scales for starting the issue of Hub 5 to existing customers.
