Hi my internet cable to my pc is showing that it is not working and hasn’t been working for the past month it is all plugged into my router and Ethernet port I have checked the router for internet, same with the port and both get internet I still don’t understand why it is not working. Would anyone be able to give me some more ideas

  • You can try uninstalling the network adapter driver on Windows 10 by following these steps:

Click the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Type Device Manager into the search bar and select it.
In the Device Manager, locate the Network Adapter section.
Right-click on the specific network adapter you wish to uninstall.
    Choose Uninstall.

This will remove the network adapter driver from your system. Upon restarting your computer, Windows will automatically look for stored drivers from your system and reinstall the appropriate driver, even if there is no network connectivity.

Not clear from your wording but... one thing to check first is that the cable to the PC hasnt  just "failed" - I have had several do that recently - particularly the cheap ones from Amazon!

Just try a new Cat6a one to check.

Many Windows computers loose their network connections because they are not being fully rebooted & have an uptime in the task manager that is in the weeks or months.

Try using:  Shut down >>> Restart
