email access issues on iPhone

I can get emails on my laptop and desktop computers, but on my iPhone as soon as I try and enter my email, I notice the letters "oauth" before virginmedia , as soon as I tap log in after a few seconds it says no internet, and yet I can access other sites. Hope all this makes sense it's all a bit out of my depth at 84 yrs old
