Disney+ showing USA content

Here's a weird one.

So I've just tried to log into my Disney+ on my Roku and a pop up appeared saying 'Looks like you're travelling!' which I'm not as I'm sat in my living room at home. It is showing the USA Disney+ content and age ratings (PG-13, etc).

I checked on my mobile, when it's connected to the wifi it does the same but when I connect to data (iD Mobile) I get the UK version of Disney+.

BBC iPlayer loads as normal on the Roku.

I have restarted the hub and it still does the same as above.

Is this happening to anyone else or is it just me?

    • Can you please provide the "text of the output of dig +short www.hotstar.com from your side?
    • Could you please provide the traceroute for Paramount+ as that is still affected by the issue.

    Many thanks!

Some how the paper work for given subnets got filed as USA...

So its either wait for UK to get the paper work back from USA to get the subnet as UK

    or

Use modem mode to get a new IP that might list as in the UK

    Up to speed

Well it looks like it is fixed now, Netflix is showing UK lists again and http://www.fast.com is showing the client as being Middlesbrough.

      Tuning in

It’s fixed to some degree, Paramount + still thinks I’m in America but Netflix and DP are back to normal.

Got paramount working on the iPad temporarily by deleting the app then re downloading. Logged back in and it worked whilst watching. About an hour later when I tried again it said was in the USA. Deleted and re downloaded working again. But I expect it will be temporary

Is there a guide to do this ? Happy to help but not sure how to do it

  • Looks like they have resolved it, after 10 days, IP is now showing as GB and Paramount+ is working again, and Netflix/Disney showing UK shows and adverts

So, now the blame game, who was responsible for all these people losing access to streaming services for well over a week, with little to no acknowledgement of the issue, outside "we are aware"
