My hub is not working as it should. I was guaranteed that my new hub 5 would arrive today but as expected nothing.
getting really fed up of virgin now and thinking of going to EE fibre.

Do it, you won't regret it.
The key word is 'thinking' every ISP alive reads of hears that one word
and knows the customer's inertia is about the same as for the Queen Mary.

Sorry to hear your Hub 5 delivery has not arrived when arranged. We're aware of delays with deliveries at this time. I can assure you the teams are working to have this resolved and deliveries out and received as soon as possible. Our apologies again for any inconvenience this may be causing.
It getting embarrassing now. It has now been 10 days since it was due and still nothing.
