Firstly, if you are using the VM Connect app then turn it off & remove it from all devices.
Then in your router settings turn off channel optimisation & separate the two Wi-Fi bands into two separate SSIDs (they can share the same password).
If it keeps resetting then reboot. If it still continues turn optimisation on again for 10 minutes, then turn it off, leave for 10 minutes & reboot. The router should then should get the message.
Simple answer is VM want channel selection to be fully automated, which does not suit everyone.

Bear in mind that if your WiFi repeater is a VM pod, it will not work as designed after this change.
