Cannot enter hyphenated address in website exceptions

This was previously discussed in

Can't add a hyphenated address to the website exception | Virgin Media Community - 5465964

but with myVM02 there does not seem to be a way to run the old Websafe UI.

The error is:

in Account Settings - Online Security - Websites (tab)

"Please enter a valid address" is stated when the website address contains a hyphen. e.g. national-lottery.co.uk.

Entering quotation marks or %2D does not work and just turning off parental controls is not an acceptable solution. This should really be fixed in the code.

Set your mobile or your laptop to use a Public DNS ( Cloudflare / Google DNS / OpenDNS etc )
you will then have access to the lottery via the mobile app / website.

It should be fixed but given how much time has passed since the issue was raised it seems unlikely.

Consider using an alternative DNS with custom domain blocking on your home network / device to achieve what you want.

        Hi miketango202,

Are you able to visit the the National Lottery website when this is searched for via a search engine?

Do any websites containing a hyphen that are not deemed to be 18+ struggle with access?

        Thanks,
