Cable for hub 5x, M500 fibre

My cable that connects internal wall box and hub 5x is broken, I’ve been told it is coaxial cable by virgin media customer support. I am wondering if that is correct?
Looked on google, coaxial cable looks different to my current one and coaxial is for older virgin routers.

Does anyone know what cable that hub5x use? I am so worried receiving wrong cable after 3-5 working days of waiting.

Don’t know what virgin insists it is coaxial cable for 5x

It’s a fibre optic cable for the 5X.

Thank you, 10M cable is currently on promotion, virgin one is too short

  • Will virgin notice I use my own one ,and then degrade my service?

I'd expect that to be No & No again.

As long as there is no dust or dirt ingress as the light transmission can be affected.

Why would you pay for cable and install it yourself when VM can do a better job for free.

In this case VM doesn't even know the correct cable type to install in the first place.
