Broadband Upgrade

Looking for help please, got upgrade offer to increase broadband speed from 350 to 500, phoned VM, asked if I did this would I get upgraded to 1GB because i am a Volt customer, informed that I would be upgraded, also I would receive an updated Router as I have the old Hub 3, informed this would happen, just received an updated Contract giving me the updated price and speed, 500Mb, do I have to contact VM again to get the updated Hub and speed ?

  • Sounds right to me. I assume you were on Volt 350 to start with. You only get Volted once. Therefore one upgrade takes you to Volt 500. If you upgrade again from Volt 500 then you would indeed hit Gig1. So two lots of upgrades needed.

Many thanks for the update, I wish the person at VM had informed me of this

      Hi SWB1,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

We're sorry to hear there has been some confusion around your email offer. In terms of a Volt upgrade, you'd only ever get this once. The information provided by Cardiffman282 is incorrect. If your speed is already Volt 350 and you upgrade to Volt 500, this would not mean you get 1GB. You would only get the Volt 500 speed.

As the Hub is compatible with the Volt 500 speed, you wouldn't automatically get a new hub. If part of the email offer includes a new hub, once the offer is accepted then a hub upgrade would be processed and the new deal will go live once the new hub is installed.

It's important to check over your pre-contract documents as what's written on there, is what you will get.

Let us know if there are any further queries or questions you have.

      Many thanks,
