Broadband in CV2

Hi - has anyone out there had BT/EE on their doorstep today telling you that Virgin have updated their digital connections?  I was told today that I should be entitled to a reduction in my Broadband bill?

I'm in CV2, it seems it was a local problem reported to BT/EE about signal strength, but haven't heard anything from Virgin.

Happy to hear from anyone who can shed some light on this.  Many thanks

[MOD EDIT: Subject title changed for clarity]

  • Take what any other company tells you on the doorstep with a pinch of salt. VM does not use any BT infrastructure in Coventry, so it's none of their business.

They will tell you that VM infrastructure is outdated & that everyone will have to switch to BT fibre. This is nonsense. VM non-fibre connections are capable of delivering up to 10Gbps download speeds without any physical modifications. VM are switching all customers over to full fibre in the next few years by modification of their own network anyway.
