Block access to iplayer

I don't have a TV licence (or a TV) but several computers. Is there any way I can block iplayer from all devices, preferably via a list stored in my SuperHub 4?

BBC security consists of "Have you got a TV licence?" and I worry my kids won't know the difference between that and "accept cookies" when they follow a link from Google.

  • I don't know of an easy way to block access to iPlayer, but a BBC account is required to to use iPlayer, do you have one? If not they won't be able to watch anything.

Have a look at the Parental Controls in the VM Online Account.

But do be aware they are ever so easy to bypass, even an infant could change to Google DNS and evade what ISP's like VM or BT / EE might offer.

No, you don't need an account to watch iplayer, you just have to click on "I have a licence" once and it's saved in cookies for ever more.  Almost zero security.

You need a BBC Account and at least signed in once with it. If you sign out, you would need to sign in again to actually PLAY any content.
